Undergraduates

Undergraduates study in order to do as well as they possibly can in their degree; at the end of the degree, the undergraduates can either continue with education (e.g. postgraduate study) or dive straight into the world of work.

Degree level grades:

  • First Class Degree - Students are required to score 70% or higher overall

  • Upper Second Class Degree - Students are required to score between 60% and 69% overall

  • Lower Second Class Degree - Students are required to score between 50% and 59% overall

  • Third Class Degree - Students are required to score between 40% and 49% overall

Once students have completed their undergraduate degree (or equivalent), they will be eligible to apply for postgraduate courses; the grade the students achieved in their undergraduate degree as well as the undergraduate degree itself will determine which postgraduate courses they will be eligible for.
